What are adaptogens?

Stress leads to a weakening of psychophysical fitness and to impairment of the nervous system, so it is extremely important to act when we feel that something negative is happening. Where did Adaptogens come from
Nikolay Lazarev is considered a pioneer of research on adaptogens. He was a Soviet doctor and in 1928 he dealt with the influence of various chemicals on man and his body. During World War II, he was in a team that worked on creating a soldier, much more durable than average people. At that time stimulants were tested, but as you know, many cause addiction and have a negative impact on the human body.
This is how Lazarev, seeing the results of research, decided to take a different direction. He began to look for substances that are safe, stimulate and strengthen the body, and not those that destroy it and, as a result, significantly weaken it. He became interested in plants and, following the opinion of the people, found ginseng and a mountain horn.
Lazarev also set three conditions that the product must meet to be considered an adaptogen:
- It should cause minimal changes (disorders) in the physiology of the body
- It should not work specifically, but immunize the body through extensive physical, biochemical effects, etc.
- It should normalize and improve various body functions and have no side effects.
